Title: Crower Cams on eBay
Post by: BigMike on October 23, 2010, 10:19:10 PM
Hey Bill,

I want to talk some more about these cams

Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem=270652949818 (item expires in 5 days)

So I searched around and found...
http://www.crower.com/parts/camshafts/toyota-lexus/4-cylinder/4age.html
and also
http://www.briancrower.com/makes/toyota/4age_stroker.shtml

(I don't know anything about Crower. Is Brian Crower the son of Bruce Crower?)

On the Crower.com link above, all of the cam part numbers are different from the part number listed on the eBay auction, E-46224.

The main Crower.com website SUCKS monkey balls. So far I haven't found any specific information on the E-46224 cams. Have you?

Also, the guy on the eBay auction says, "I had purchased to use on 87 mr2 but am going with a more aggressive setup and i will not be using these." He lists the cams as a .477" (12.11mm) lift.

MORE AGGRESSIVE THAN 12.11MM LIFT?? :bolt:
I guess he is looking for a cam with a longer duration..

I think Brian Crower is the son of Bruce Crower. Sorry Mike, I read the listing as .447, dyslexia kicking in. If you look at the box pictured in the listing the part number is 65014.  ??????? I couldn't find this P/N on either Crower site, so I e-mail the seller to find out the specs and these are what he gave me. 250 dur. w a .477" lift. I looked at the cam card and the lift is based on a rocker arm ratio of 1.5. That comes out to a lift of only .318" at the cam. That's only 8.1mm lift for our little engines. Damn, and I thought we found a really nice S/C cam. Sorry for getting your hopes up.
