This is by-far my favorite design out of these:

That looks great:

Interesting Side Vent variations:

I really like this. Maybe it's just the sharp contrast of the red color though...?

I believe this is the best solution aerodynamically.  The others are just varying vent designs to let out hot air.

I agree the only scoop that looks good is that last one.  I think these are just for a "ram air" effect for the intake, which should be sealed and separated from the upward engine bay airflow to be effective.

I wonder how the guys with that central chimney open their engine lids... reverse hinge conversion??

I feel the same way but I just don't like it. I like the shape of the MK1 cab.

I wonder if we can cut into the stock B-pillar of the car to get the same affect without adding much?

That must be so annoying!!

Looking at the atmosphere pressuse points on the MR2. The highest pressure (ram) is on the front bumper just below the face. We could try ducting the ram effect air from there to a plenum in the engine bay. From there, distribute to engine intake, and rear brakes. The turn signal light holes can be intakes for the front brakes. The duct can be routed through the passenger side cockpit.
