Hey guys,
I think it would be a good idea to spectate an upcoming event so we can see how the tech is run, how the race is run, and talk to as many people there as we can to gain as much insider info as possible :D It is $20 per person to spectate. Hopefully pit access is available because that is where we would learn the most.
Here are some upcoming events:
8-9 May 2010
Goin' For Broken (http://www.24hoursoflemons.com/reno10/)
Thunderhill Raceway Park, Willows CA
7-8 August 2010
LeMons Arse-Sweat-Apalooza (Northern California) (http://www.24hoursoflemons.com/thunderhill10/)
Thunderhill Raceway Park, Willows CA
14 August 2010
Concours d'LeMons (http://www.24hoursoflemons.com/concours10/)
Toro Park, Monterey CA
Regarding the May 8-9 event, that will be 1 week before my finals so I am out. But the other two events in August are perfect for me, I can make either event.
What do you guys think?
I think the Concours d'LeMons is not a race but rather a car show.
So the only race I can make is the Arse-Sweet-Apalooze at Thunderhill on Aug 7-8.
Sounds like a plan.
We should enter the Concourse de LeMons! It would be a step in the door. I have a car for that event. 1973 Toyota Celica with a bunch of rust holes, rotted out interior, rotted off vinyl top. 13' rims with tires from the late '70s early '80s. I think it'll run. I took the pic with all the weeds and trash for future reference. And, I did buy this car for $200! I drove it home! LeMons candidate if I ever saw one.

DANG! This was LAST WEEKEND :( I really wanted to go to this :(
So if we don't make the Dec. event this year, we could go spectate that one?
