271 HP! NICE, even boosted with that high compression ratio, wow

11.5-1 comp ratio? You read that right? What does the supercharger do? Reduce the manifold pressure? 11.5-1, with what boost?

Yeah, it seems strange to be boosting on atop of 11.5:1. Why don't they drop the compression to like 9.5:1 and then run 20+ PSI boost?

The Mazda runs a 9.5 compression with a max boost of 18psi! Boosts to 15.7 in 3,4,5 and 6, limits to something like 12 lbs in 1 and 2. May be possible to boost 11.5 comp with a lot of tuning magic.

I guess Toyota isn't interested in making a special low-compression-tailored 2ZZ for Lotus, so it would be up to Lotus to swap out pistons, which would be a lot of work and would void any Toyota warranties for sure....
