I'm thinking Piston Ring and Aluminum bits from the top of the piston
located in cylinder #1.
Found pieces after the noise went away, and after I removed the CAT
to see what went through the engine.
Compression tests made later are as follows:
cylinder #1: 125psi
cylinder #2: 155psi
cylinder #3: 145psi
cylinder #4: 150psi
Cylinder #1 took a dump.
More info to come tomorrow when I remove the engine and take it all
apart for a complete investigation.
Rebuild will take place a.s.a.p., and will be built with a used SC14
unit that is on a U.P.S. truck as I am typing this.
Until then, remember to always look at your problems on the bright side, and keep your head held up high.
