I did some more work to my cars engine bay, and I want to have the engine and trans in Thursday night or this upcoming weekend. Then I will tow it to the muffler shop, get my parts installed, and then DRIVE HER HOME!

So what do you guys think?

I have alot of pictures and I am documenting everything, but I wanted to wait until the last minuet before I showed everyone what I've been up to.

Regards,
BigMike

ps. The SC14 is not bolted in place right now because I am working on the Throttle body and it.

looks great

It looks very good.....
I didn't think it could be done, but I'm wrong.

Check out my very unupdated website from my rebuild...I thought I did all that could be done, but you've definitely gone above and beyond.

I take it you are not familuar with my old webpage, the NA > SC Conversion Registry. It has been over a year since it has been removed. I am going to put it up along with my new project engine as soon as I finish it. I would rather get the damn thing done first

BigMike

I'm interested in hearing about that header!

Custom? Source? Cost?

How big is that final pipe?

Looks very nice.

It is a header made by TED Components in Canada. It is custom in the since that I asked for a 4-1 header designed for top end only(asked for extra short primaries). I told them not to worry about backpressure and that I have that under control. The outlet is a 2 1/2" and the primaries are 1.6". They could have made a 1.75", but mods to the head would be made and they generally only do that for 8500 or higher engine speeds.

They told me not to release the price. You will need to give them a call. It took them about a month to make it.

Thanks TED Components; Awesome header and awesome fit and finish!

BigMike

cool thanks for that info!
I will definitely be in touch with them.

The header on our race car is still in great shape (a custom 4:1), but I figure it's got another year maybe two left of life... the final on ours is 3" with 1.75" (I think) primaries. We have to run a muffler to stay within legal sound levels :-)

I was going to ask How much for the 4 into 1 Header,
also seems to me the Primaries are too short but being under boost i guess it doesent matter

but if they dont want to give out a price i think i will pass

I have only bought 1 thing from TED and they seemed evasive i would ask 3 or 4 questions and they would give 1 answer

I guess you have DFI or DLI ignition?
i wonder what compnents make up the system?
also what is a
Nology T.R.EX 3" Variable Backpressure System ?

way cool by the way Nice Job

I have a question... the breather on the PVC.. what is the advangte of not having a catch can? Will that let oil out into the engine bay? Just wondering if you really need a can or not?
